Base Tobaccos
The first thing one will notice when viewing this tobacco is its dark black colour and its goopy, sticky exterior. A 100% black cavendish blend, Coffee & Caramel utilises heated virginias and burleys to result in this slow burning, moist tobacco. Once prepared it is ready rubbed for ease of smoking.
Topping
As the name suggests the predominant flavour is that of a rich coffee and luxurious caramel, but there are many more nuances that customers note. From vanilla and tonka bean to hints of chocolate and treacle there is a lot to be gained by the smoker with a discerning palate.
Smoking It Straight
It is recommended that, if smoking this blend straight, you take it slowly and gently. Being that this is a straight black cavendish it smokes extremely cool with zero tongue bite, but will still inevitably create a fair bit of moisture. If you are a wet smoker it may be preferable to smoke this blend in a filter pipe.
Blending
Despite having a delightful sweetness the blend actually has a stronger room note than taste being that it contains no sharp or harsh flavours. For this reason many people also like to add some Coffee & Caramel to another drier, faster burning tobacco as it’s great for slowing the burning and not over dominating any other tobacco it is blended with. This is also a great option for the aforementioned wet smokers.
