BC was founded in 1858 by Jean-Baptiste and his son-in-law Gustave Butz. At first they had only one design, the ‘Choquin’, an eye catching pipe utilising a albatross bone stem held together in place with silver rings. Over the next number of years the duo would go on to be recognised as highly inventive designers. Over the next century the company would be taken over multiple times but the legacy has ensured their place on the market to this day.
