Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on ‘Checkout’ and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We follow the local laws in the country of origin for the order. If tobacco import is not allowed in your country, the order will be cancelled.
We use Worldpay as a Secure Payment Gateway. We do not see your card numbers. You will be directed to their payment service when you check out.
We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. If you do not wish to pay online, you may send your card information via phone, fax or by post.
If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.
When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, if we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Shipping & Handling
Cost of Shipping is calculated at the point of sale after we have weighed the parcel. UK deliveries are sent 1st Class Proof of Postage or 1st Class Recorded for larger orders. 1st class is not suitable for larger purchases as no signature is required at the recipients end.
We use Royal Mail for all our deliveries and Air Mail rates apply for international orders. Please see Royal Mail’s website to check their tariffs.
Orders will be sent as soon as possible. Normally within 24 hours. If an item is not in stock, we will contact you to advise when the item will be sent out.
Your order transaction will not be authorised until your items bagged up and ready to be posted.
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Please note for orders made 20% VAT is included in the price.
Credit Card Security
We do not see any of the information from your card. This is handled by our secure payment gateway WorldPay.
All transaction information passed between The Pipe Shop Website and World Pay’s systems is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and any messages sent to your servers from WorldPay are signed using MD5 hashing to prevent tampering. You can be completely assured that nothing you pass to WorldPay’s servers can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.
World Pay’s systems are scanned quarterly by Trustwave which are an independent Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) and an Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) for the payment card brands.
WorldPay is also audited annually under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) and is a fully approved Level 1 payment services provider, which is the highest level of compliance. Sage Pay is also active members of the PCI Security Standards Council (SSC) that defines card industry global regulation.

RETURNS FOR TOBACCO PRODUCTS PURCHASED IN ERROR:
Unfortunately due to instances in the past where people have re-placed the contents with different tobacco we cannot accept returns of un-sealed packets of tobacco. We are also advised by HMRC not to accept returns of tobacco due to this scam.
WHY WE DO NOT ACCEPT TOBACCO RETURNS:
There is the obvious problem of tobacco drying out during transit but there also is a scam, were the less honest individuals in the UK substitute the contents for tobacco, which hasn’t been duty paid.
FAULTY PRODUCT RETURNS:
If you have received a faulty item, then you can return the item boxed and unused for a refund or a replacement.
