When planning for this cigar the team at Joya De Nicaragua knew they had to create something illustrious, something capable of being a fitting tribute to their forefathers who gave everything for the freedoms they can now enjoy.

To represent the many nationalities involved in this celebration, five Central American countries were selected: Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Ecuador and Mexico. Each of these countries are known individually for their distinctive tobaccos that, when combined under the right supervision, can become something legendary.
Rolled in the Fabrica de Tabacos Joya de Nicaragua in Esteli, Nicaragua the process starts with select aged Nicaraguan, Dominican and Ecuadorian filler tobaccos. These are carefully blended and bound in a rich Mexican binder before being treated to an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper leaf.
When looking at the cigar one is first lured in by the enticing dark wrapper leaf. A rustic, down to earth impression is given by the exterior. When looking at the foot you will note the contrast in shade between the wrapper leaf and the contents within. Light golden brown filler tobaccos can be seen intertwined with leaves of an almost jet black nature.
How does this translate when smoked you may be asking? Well it is superb. Firstly this is a medium bodied cigar that boasts some great flavours without being overly complex, a true achievement considering the variety of tobaccos harnessed in the Dos Cientos production.
