Mild to medium smoke with a distinctive flavour and aroma. Cool and slow burning, made predominantly Virginia tobaccos with added Burley and Kentucky. Satisfying rich smoke with a Caramel topping. Course cut and surprisingly good for a so called “supermarket blend”. Not one to be overlooked.

Opening the packet of Special Virginia a delectable sweet caramel aroma is present. Upon a second sniff a hint of vanilla, toffee and honey can be attained. Many would be fearful that this tobacco would bite, but fear not. The thick strands of the ready rubbed tobacco allow for a slow, even burn. Despite the products name being Special Virginia, the other tobaccos do stand out when smoking this blend. The Kentucky adds a dimension of depth to the blend whilst the Burley adds richness.

Originally manufactured by Benson & Hedges under the name “Mellow Virginia”, this tobacco has been a prominent fixture on the U.K market for decades. Now manufactured by Japan Tobacco International and made in Denmark.
