The earliest records of the company go back to 1820 when the founder Thomas Aubin started the business. His nephew Philip Germain upon leaving school joined his uncle. Later his two sons would take up ownership and in the 1920’s it was bestowed with the name GERMAIN’S. The company remains in its ancestral home of the Isle of Jersey and continues to have a name renowned with high quality pipe tobaccos. Known for their amazing flake tobaccos and sourcing special Latakia and Virginia’s have put the Germain’s brand at the top of many smokers lists. With over one hundred and eighty years behind them, the expertise and craftsmanship that go into these mixtures are truly remarkable.
