The Alec Bradley Story
Alan Rubin founded Alec Bradley in 1996 naming the company after his two sons Alec & Bradley. The following year he went on to manufacture his first line aimed at golf courses, they were named ‘Bogey’s Stogies’ and were marketed specifically at golf courses. This venture did not prove successful but undeterred Alan went on to seek the assistance of industry professional Ralph Montero and cigar designer Henke Kelner who had worked for Davidoff. The new line dubbed the ‘Occidental Reserve’ was a different story selling out instantly and allowing the company to go on to flourish.
