Neos
At the beginning of the 1900s Cyriel Vandenberghe established the Tabakfabriek n°253 in Handzame, Belgium. Business quickly grew and things were looking prosperous until the outbreak of the First World War. When the war ended Vandenberghe tried his best to quickly return the company to form, but was unable to reach the popularity it once had.
In 1975 another famous Belgian cigar manufacturer, the Vandermarliere family, acquired Neos. They already had great success with their brand J.Cortes and felt confident they could return Neos to their glory days. The Handzame factory was still to manufacture the cigars, just employing some new techniques and focussing on better marketing.
Today Neos are well known across Europe for their popular miniature cigars (flavoured and unflavoured). The brand shows know sign of wavering in popularity.
