Description
Charatan: 1992 Mixture | Pipe Tobacco (50g Tin)
This mixture is named 1992 to commemorate the inauguration year of Tor Imports. A selection of small Latakia leaves impart a rich nutty flavour and aroma. The addition of bright Oriental leaf from Macedonia ads roundness. The final addition to complete the blend is a brown Cavendish tobacco, rich in natural oils and aroma. A delightful fragrant smoke for the more experienced pipe smoker. 50g.

The Charatan Story
In 1863 a young man named Frederik opened a shop in Mansell Street, London. From here he began to carve Meerschaum Pipes. These gained popularity very quickly and Charatan moved to a bigger workshop in Prescot Street. Here he began to make the Briar Pipes that made the company world famous. His father decided to retire in 1910. Reuben then took over the family business. From this date until 1960 the business was wholly owned by the family.
Over the years the company diversified, producing other high quality smoking products such as cigars. To this day Charatan tobaccos are still in demand.
Here at The Pipe Shop we stock a range of fourteen tobaccos by Charatan. These are a diverse range of traditional, aromatic and flake pipe tobaccos.
