Zino Davidoff was born the son of a cigar merchant from Kiev. His younger years watching his father had young Zino pick up many intellectual intrigues surrounding the world of cigars.
At the age of 5 his family relocated to Geneva, Switzerland. By the age of 19 Zino had decided to travel around Latin America to further his knowledge of tobacco cultivation and returning with a wealth of new knowledge.
By 1947 his families business was already doing well selling Hoyo de Monterrey’s ‘Chateaux’ range and he created the first desktop humidor and launched his own line of ‘Davidoff Chateau’ and ‘Grand Cru’. It didn’t take long for the Davidoff brand became synonymous with living the high life.
