Cesare Talamona
For Cesare Talamona, pipe making was in his blood. In the 1920s his father had spent much of his time fashioning pipes for friends and eventually built a reputation for being a skilled pipe maker. The family shop did well selling these pipes and Cesare comes onboard at the age of 15 where he immediately starts honing his skills.
Cesare established his brand “Talamona” in 1970 in the province of Oltrona, Italy. It didn’t take long for the European market to embrace his passion for large, quality handcrafted pipes displaying creative flair.
Paolo Croci
By 2007 the ageing Talamona was ready to retire and had someone in mind to take over the business and keep the ideals of the brand alive. Long time friend and enthusiastic pipe maker Paolo Croci was deemed by Cesare the correct man for the job.
In 2010 production resumed and the first of Paolo’s Talamona pipes went to market. Much to the joy of customers Paolo had created pipes that displayed all the ingenuity and style that had come to be associated with Talamona pipes. To this day the brand is notable for their unique designs and terrific craftsmanship.
