Introduction

Rocky Patel is a name that is synonymous with high quality new world cigars. This reputation has been earned through years of passionate labour. Rocky went from lawyer to the stars of Hollywood to new world cigar powerhouse. This transition started in the late 90s when he sold his legal firm and set his eyes towards the cigar market.

Nowadays you would be hard pressed to find a cigar smoker who hasn’t tried, or at least heard of Rocky Patel. In 2020 he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement award for all his hard work and industry innovation over the years.

Second Edition

The Aged Limited Rare range by Rocky Patel is an example of cigar perfection. The A,L,R was so popular in its first inception that many hopeful cigar enthusiasts were unable to try it. As a result of its popularity a second run was called for. The second batch’s quantity has been limited to 120,000 sticks.

The Aged Limited Rare Robusto Second Edition has finally hit the shelves. An extremely limited run of only 120,000 A.L.R Robusto’s have been manufactured this time around and the demand for these box pressed beauties is high. Utilising the finest leaves from Esteli and Condega with a alluring, dark Mexican wrapper this cigar is one to be savoured.

Details

Now onto the construction of these elusive cigars. As one would expect, Esteli contributes largely to this cigar in the form of filler.

These leaves have been carefully hand selected for their robust character and luxurious flavour profile. Whilst smoking one can expect to encounter rich and deep chocolate, citrus and peppery tones, all the while retaining a creamy smoothness.

Next leaves from Condega are utilised for the binder before being finished in a Habano Seed Mexican wrapper that appears dark brown or black depending on the lighting.

Rolled into a box pressed robusto format (5 inches by 50 ring gauge) this cigars length and gauge are perfect, capable of displaying a wealth of rich notes thanks to the three year ageing process they have undergone.
