There is a tradition of fine quality in Temple Hall Tobaccos for it was on this Estate in 1876 that a party of Cuban Tobacco Farmers, refugees from Spanish tyranny, were made welcome after selecting this site as being identical in soil irrigation and wind protection to their beloved Vuelta Abajo – since that date all the most famous chops of Jamaican Tobaccos have been produced at ‘Temple Hall’.
