The Drew Estate company is the largest producer of handmade cigars in Nicaragua and the third largest manufacturer and distributor of premium cigars in the U.S. Reported to be one of the fastest growing tobacco companies in the world today. Their main office is based in Miami, Florida and every big cigar event that a member of The Pipe Shop Ltd. has attended, there has been a rep. from Drew Estate there, handing out top quality cigars. Jonathan Drew started off selling cigars from a small kiosk in the World Trade Center in New York. In 1996, along with his partner, he founded La Gran Fabrica in Esteli, Nicaragua.
The Drew Estate brand has set itself up to be deliberately different characterised by their innovative blends to their eye catching packaging.
In 2007 they developed ‘La Liga Privada‘ designed solely for the smoking pleasure of Drew Estate president, Steve Saka. The ‘Private Blend’ was a hit, crafted from tobacco from seven different farms and rolled by top torcedores. It is a full strength smoke with intense spice and black pepper flavours.
We have stocked a number of different lines from the Drew Estate range, my personal favourite being the Undercrown Shade Robusto and the most popular amongst customers is probably the coffee flavoured Tabak Especial but now a new range has been released which come in handy tins of 10 cigars and each tin comes with a Boveda Pack inside to keep these cigars at optimal humidity.

This blend features an Ecuadorian Sumatra seed with the binder of Connecticut and sun grown habano, which compliments a powerhouse of Nicaraguan premium fillers. The cigar is of medium strength and contains flavour notes of leather and cocoa combined with a creamy finish.
Undercrown Maduro Coronet
This cigar has the San Andre’s wrapper over a Connecticut stalk cut habano binder and fillers from Brazil and Nicaragua. It is a milder alternative to the Liga Privada and is of a medium-full body with notes of black pepper, berry sweetness and a background of firewood.
