“The mystery of Panamanian tobacco and the crate like box in which Black Market is displayed illustrates this cigar’s journey.”
– Alan Rubin
It is our pleasure to once again be able to gleefully discuss Alec Bradley cigars.
The Black Market range was released back in 2011 and has since gone on to become, perhaps, the brands most beloved and recognisable line.
The Black Market Toro is rolled in Tobacos de Oriente in Danli, Honduras.
A unique blend of Panamanian, Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos are combined, resulting in a sublime cigar worthy of your time.
The filler is constructed from a blend of selected leaves from small farms in Panama & Honduras.
A Sumatran binder and Nicaraguan wrapper leaf are then applied, the latter of which is especially dark, oily and enticing. Veins are noticeable but far from overtly pronounced.
Upon lighting the Black Market Toro you are treated to tantalising espresso tones followed by sweet notes reminiscent of hay and floral tones.
These are accompanied by a spice that is quick to settle. During the second half the cigar reveals itself by providing deeper flavours of earth and coffee.
Sweet hints of honey are also notable before finally developing into a herbal bouquet.
