The Dunhill Story
Alfred Dunhill was born in 1872, a renowned entrepreneur, inventor and tobacconist. The progenitor of Alfred Dunhill Ltd. a London based luxury goods company. From 1893 Alfred Dunhill ran a profitable company selling primarily motoring accessories,
and in 1902 opened a prestigious store in Mayfair. Not long after he developed a pipe for motorists in 1904. In 1907 he went on to open a tobacconist on Duke Street. By 1912 Dunhill introduced the White Spot Trademark to its pipes.
