Originally Parker was formed and Established in 1922 by Alfred Dunhill for his Dunhill failings (seconds).
At points on the production lines bowls are not finished due to flaws and grain patterns.
The Parker line was to be the Original White Spotline but this did not come to fruition.
After Dunhill acquired Hardcastle the two companies were merged (1967) and then became Parker-Hardcastle Ltd. Parker had merged with Hardcastle and Parker which then became a stand-alone brand.
Over the years production has moved from England to various European locations and now resides in Italy.
This Patent number 116989/17 is the only one that may appear on a Parker pipe prior to 1954.
This was the year Parker and Dunhill both stopped stamping patent numbers.
