Chacom have been making pipes in the small village of Avignon, near Saint-Claude -renowned over the world for its pipe artisans- since 1825. The Comay family has been there making pipes long even before the adoption of Briar into Pipe Making. When they started they used boxwood to produce pipes for the Armies of Napoleon.
